I went to college at Texas Tech University from 2004-2008 and graduated with a BS in Multidisplinary Studies with an emphasis in Math & Science for 4th through 8th grades. I am currently in grad school completing my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. I will finish this degree program in December of 2020.
I’m certified to teach 4th through 8th grade math and science. I am also certified to teach Pre-AP math and have my ESL supplemental certification.
I started teaching 6th grade math at Brownfield Middle School in the fall of 2015 then taught 8th grade math for the next three years. I am currently serving my third year as the Instructional Specialist for the middle school.
In 2017 I was honored to be Brownfield’s Secondary Teacher of the Year and went on to be the Region 17 Secondary Teacher of the Year.
Before coming to Brownfield, I worked in Lubbock ISD for 7 years straight out of college. I taught 8th grade math all seven years, and I also taught 7th grade math, Pre-AP Algebra I and remedial math at other times in my career. This will be my 13th year in education.
I got married in 2014 to my wonderful husband, Stephen, and have one daughter, Rylan, who was born in 2017.
